Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual with flight operations experience to join our team as an “Flight Operations Manager” in the flight operations department at Aero4M d.b.a Amelia International, based in Šenčur, Slovenia.
As Flight Operations Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that the flight operations, including established procedures and policies are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with respective regulations and standards. You will have daily communication with colleagues in Slovenia, France and other countries where group Amelia is present.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Ensure control and supervision of all flight operations in accordance with all aviation flight regulations and relevant safety standards;
Maintain company's operational manuals for flight operations;
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the applicable regulations and ensure their correct application in flight operations;
Ensure and evaluate recruitment of flight crewmembers and plan their work in order to maintain the professional standards;
Cooperate with CAA and other authorities on regular basis to demonstrate and report the compliance with all flight standards;
Actively assist during audits from authorities and third parties;
Cooperate with all other departments in the process of decision-making in the area of flight operations;
Establish and promote a safe working environment and culture.
Based on a candidate’s experience, knowledge, and professional aspirations, we are open to discussing different work arrangements. These could range from being fully office-based to maintaining some active involvement in flight/training activities.
Job requirements
Proven practical experience and expertise in flight operations;
5 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the aviation industry in an appropriate position;
Comprehensive knowledge of EU aviation regulations and safety standards;
Appropriate management experience, preferably in the area of aviation;
In depth knowledge of at least one of our airplane types (Airbus A319/A320, Embraer ERJ 135/145 or Learjet 45);
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory, proficiency in Slovenian is highly desirable and knowledge of French is welcomed, but not necessary;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Ability to motivate others to achieve the highest level of safety and quality;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks;
Flexible and proactive approach to work and problem-solving;
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
